Finding and Living Your Authentic Life: A Day Retreat for Women

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” — Mary Oliver

Saturday, September 10, 2011 10 a.m. 5 p.m. Atlanta, GA

Deep down, we all yearn to be more authentic and to live our life filled with passion and purpose. Are YOU living the life you deeply desire, right now?

Over the years, many of us become estranged from our true authentic selves by overworking in our career, becoming financially trapped and/or overburdened with responsibility, by suppressing our emotions and desires, and by not taking time for our self-care and our spiritual well-being. Does this sound familiar?

Living authentically is the most important way to enjoy a healthy, vibrant, soulful life. There is nothing more important or meaningful in life than honoring your genuine self - your true nature - and expressing it in the world. Are you ready to re-awaken your true, divine self? Do you want support to rediscover your passion and your purpose?

If you are eager to live a more authentic life that reflects your values and desires, then this unique retreat is for you!

This retreat is designed for you, if you are:

• Struggling with transitional, midlife issues

The Retreat Overview
During this hands-on, experiential retreat, we will celebrate ourselves in a circle of inquiry to experience conversation, coaching, ceremony and meditation, as well as to create collages and personal portraits. This process will help you to reawaken your dreams, and to integrate your deep self-worth with your destiny to become the deeply authentic woman you are meant to be.

Marilyn will work with you to create your portrait. While making this portrait, we will embrace who you are and where you are in your life’s journey. This is a rare opportunity for you to see how you perceive yourself, to honor who you are now, and to acknowledge and accept yourself.

It’s okay to smile and have fun with this, because yours does not have to be a typical portrait. Perhaps you will be dancing, jumping or sitting cross-legged on the floor. Marilyn may focus on your details: your hands, your eyes, your feet and shoes, or your face… any of which may be enhanced with your own props such as a favorite hat, shoes, purse, jewelry, scarf, clothing, color, musical instrument or anything that suggests what you love or like to do. Bring things to play with!

As part of this process, we will make collages from other photographs and words from all kinds of magazines. Collage-creating stimulates the senses in a more visceral way regarding concepts and things about which you are passionate. It’s another enlightening way to see yourself!
