Atlanta-based health and wellness coach announces the availability of the first truly multimedia stress reduction system

What keeps Americans awake at night? While for some it may have been too much pizza, for most business people today, especially entrepreneurs, managers, and executives, it’s stress. There’s just too much to do, and not enough time to do it.

The result of the hyped-up business climate we live in today is, says Joyce Dillon, R.N., M.N, and a certified work-life balance and health coach, is a population that’s dependent on medication and drugs to sleep and get through the day. “These only serve to increase the devastating effects of stress on our lives,” says Dillon.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 60% to 70% of all disease and illness is stress-related. Add to that the fact that an estimated 75% to 90% of visits to physicians are stress related, and there’s good reason the drug companies are having a field day. “This really isn’t necessary,” Dillon claims. “There is too much good information and knowledge about stress and stress reduction to get all stressed out over stress.”

Dillon wanted to do something besides work with people in small groups or one-one-one. After extensive research and investing thousands of dollars in materials and training, she finally found what she was looking for. “I’ve been looking for something this comprehensive and simple for years. I realized after I’d gone through the program myself that it’s perfect for executives, senior officers, managers, and solo entrepreneurs. It’s that good.”

The program Dillon refers to is The Best of Stress Management, based on the Center for Mind-Body Medicine’s world renowned professional training program. It features James Gordon, Joan Borysenko, and other leading experts in mind-body relaxation and stress-reduction techniques.

“The fact that this multimedia program contains a DVD, CD’s, and a comprehensive step-by-step guide is what sold me,” says Dillon. She believes that this program can actually alter the corporate landscape if enough senior managers and executives spend even 15 minutes a day doing one or two of the exercises in the program.

“I believe this program is simple enough and comprehensive enough to satisfy the needs of anyone,” Dillon adds. “It takes you through a number of easy exercises that can make a world of difference. You get to pick and choose which exercises and techniques fit your personality, schedule, and lifestyle.” It’s not a one-size-fits-all program, which is why Dillon has chosen to introduce it both locally and nationally.
